The bi metal actuator is a metal loop which acts as a latch for the dispenser door. Inspect the door latch assembly for damage. If the bi metal i s burned out it won t release the dispenser door. This means it will not go into its alcove and will sit out of alignment. To complete this repair remove the faceplate from the dishwasher door and disconnect the latch from the latch assembly.

The second is to activate the safety switch. When the dishwasher door latch does not operate as it should your machine will not run. On occasion if you close your dishwasher door haphazardly it can bump the latch out of alignment. The dishwasher door hinges pivots on the bottom of the dishwasher frame.

The first is to pull the door tight and keep it closed to prevent water leaks. An indicator light on the lock graphic pad will illuminate when the controls are locked and no new selections can be made until the lock is released. If the door latch is broken replace it.
